Browns wrapped up the final day of minicamp on Thursday

The Browns wrapped up minicamp with their third and final practice. Now, the Browns will break for a remainder of the offseason before the team reconvenes at the end of July to kick off training camp.

Here are some observations for the third practice of minicamp.

Defense making plays

During different periods of team drills, the defense made their presence known. In a modified 11-on-11 period, QBJoe Flaccothrew a pass that was intended for WRJerry Jeudy. However, CBMartin Emerson Jr.came across the field and got a hand on the ball for the pass breakup. In another red zone 11-on-11 period, CBDenzel Wardhad a pass breakup in the end zone over TETre' McKitty, and DEJulian Okwarawould have recorded a sack on QBDillon Gabriel.

DTMaliek Collinsbatted down two passes in Thursday's practice. He got his hand on a pass from Flacco and another from QBKenny Pickett.

11-on-11 red zone drills

Flacco, Pickett and Gabriel all took reps during the 11-on-11 red zone period on one field before they two-spotted and split into two fields. During the first period, Flacco handed the ball off to RBQuinshon Judkinswho ran in for the touchdown. Pickett threw a checkdown pass to Judkins and another pass to McKitty in the back of the end zone for the touchdown. Gabriel took the last of the reps, completing one of three passes.

Modified team drills

Then, when the Browns two-spotted for a modified team period, QBShedeur Sanderstook reps following Gabriel. In Gabriel's reps, he connected with WRGage Larvadain, WRKisean Johnsonand WRJaelen Gillon three of his passing attempts. Sanders connected with McKitty on a pass downfield and another to Johnson.

Two-minute drills

In the final portion of practice, the Browns ran through a two-minute drill. Pickett, Gabriel and Sanders each took reps during the drill, with Pickett starting with the offense. Pickett connected with TEDavid Njokuon a pass near the sideline, and another to WRKaden Davis. Pickett also handed the ball off to RB Jerome Ford, who found a gap in the defense to run through.

Then, Gabriel took reps, connecting with TEHarold Fannin Jr.on two separate passes, including one down the sideline. He also connected with TEBlake Whiteheartin the middle of the field as Whiteheart found space in the open field. During Sanders' reps, he connected with Johnson, Gill, WRLuke Florieaand TEBrenden Bates, as well as handed the ball off to Judkins who weaved through the defense to find a gap.
