Bears interview Wolf for GM position

The Bears on Tuesday interviewed Eliot Wolf for their general manager position.

Wolf has spent the past 18 seasons working in NFL personnel departments, including the first 14 in several different capacities with the Packers. In Green Bay, he served as a pro personnel assistant (2004-08), assistant director of pro personnel (2008-11), assistant director of player personnel (2011-12), director of pro personnel (2012-15), director of player personnel (2015-16) and director of football operations (2016-17).

Wolf left the Packers to become Browns general manager in 2018-19 and is now in his second season as a front office consultant with the Patriots.

Wolf won a Super Bowl ring with the Packers to cap the 2010 season. He is the son of Ron Wolf, who had a highly-successful 38-year career as an NFL executive, most recently as Green Bay's general manager from 1991-2000.

Since beginning the search process last Wednesday, the Bears have interviewed eight candidates for the general manager position and six for the head-coaching job:
